Objective

Develop a persona profile and map their journey from awareness of their needs to satisfaction with your product. This will help refine your understanding of your target audience and improve your project’s alignment with their goals.

Steps to Complete the Task

1. Select a Persona

  • Choose someone who represents your target audience.
  • If you are your own target audience, use your own profile.
  • Identify their demographic and psychographic details:
    • Social-demographics (Gender, Age, Education, etc.)
    • Goals and Pain Points.
    • Behavioral Patterns (What they read, watch, follow).

2. Create a Persona Profile on UXPressia

  1. Register and Start a Project:

    • Sign up at UXPressia.
    • Create a new project and name it after your case or persona.
  2. Fill Out the Persona Profile:

    • Add a name and photo for the persona (use a real or stock image).
    • Fill in the following sections:
      • Demographics: Gender, age, education, and job title.
      • Goals: What do they want to achieve related to your product?
      • Frustrations: What barriers or pain points do they experience?
      • Interests: Who do they follow? What brands do they trust?
      • Behavioral Patterns: Where do they spend their time online?

3. Map Their Customer Journey

  1. Choose Your Persona’s Journey:

    • The journey starts with awareness of their problem and ends with satisfaction.
  2. Define the Stages (X-axis):

    • Customize the journey stages for your product.
      • Example stages: Awareness → Consideration → Decision → Onboarding → Retention.
  3. Add Relevant Metrics (Y-axis):

    • Goals, emotions, barriers, and opportunities for each stage.
  4. Export the CJM:

    • After completion, export the journey as a PNG.

4. Identify Knowledge Gaps and Prepare Questions

  1. Evaluate Your Persona and CJM:

    • Look for areas where your understanding is limited or unclear.
  2. Top 5 Questions for the Interview:

    • What motivates you to solve [specific problem]?
    • What barriers stop you from adopting a new solution?
    • How do you decide which solutions to trust?
    • What role do recommendations or reviews play in your decisions?
    • How do you evaluate whether a product meets your needs after purchase?
